Cookie policy
Last updated 8 November 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies peyroniesclinic.co.uk uses, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. They let a website remember things, like your choices, and help us understand how the site is used.
Your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks about cookies.
- Allow turns on ads measurement as well as site analytics.
- No thanks keeps ads measurement off.
- Settings lets you switch site analytics and ads measurement on or off separately.
You can change your mind at any time with , also in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then not work as they should.
Cookies we use
Essential
These are needed for the website to work and to remember your choices. They are always on.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| consent, analytics | This website (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choices | Until you clear your browser data |
| purchase_… | This website (session storage) | Stops one booking being counted twice | Until you close the tab |
Site analytics
These are on unless you switch them off in Settings. They tell us which pages are visited and where people leave the booking steps, so we can improve the site. They aren't used for advertising, and Google's advertising features are turned off.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits from different browsers apart | 2 years |
| _ga_… | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
We also keep simple counts of visits and booking steps on our own servers. These counts use no cookies and contain no personal information.
Ads measurement
These are used only if you choose Allow, or switch ads measurement on in Settings. They let Google Ads see which ads lead to bookings, so we can spend less on ads that don't help. We don't use them to personalise the ads you see.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Links a booking to the ad click that led to it | 90 days |
Google may also use its own cookies on Google websites. Until you allow ads measurement, the Google Ads tag runs without ad cookies (Google's consent mode). It sends Google only limited information, without cookies, about visits and bookings.
Payment
When you pay, Stripe, our payment provider, uses cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are essential for paying online.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention | 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention | 30 minutes |
Other services this website uses
Our fonts load from Google Fonts and Fontshare. When they load, these services receive your IP address, as any website does when your browser connects to it. They don't set cookies.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
